Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking or attending any classes, sessions, or services at Amal Pilates.
By creating an account, purchasing any package or membership, or enrolling in any class, private session, workshop, or event at Amal Pilates, you agree to the terms and conditions set out by Amal Pilates on its website and booking platform.

General Terms and Conditions
1. New Client Offer
The new client introductory offer (valid for 30 days from first use) is available to new clients only. Clients may purchase the introductory offer once. The introductory offer is non-refundable and non-transferable and activates on the date of the first class booking made under that offer.
If a client uses multiple email addresses or accounts to purchase the introductory offer more than once, Amal Pilates reserves the right to cancel those contracts and charge full price for any sessions used.
2. Minimum Class Size
A minimum of two clients is required for a class to proceed. If a class does not meet the minimum, Amal Pilates may cancel the class. You will be notified by text and/or email prior to the start time and your session or credit will be returned.
3. Cancellations and No Shows
To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, cancellations must be made at least twelve (12) hours prior to the scheduled start time.
- Late cancellations made within twelve (12) hours of class or private session start time will result in forfeiture of the class or session credit.
- No shows will incur a $20 fee, which will be charged to the card on file, and the class or session credit will be forfeited.
- Repeated no shows may result in suspension of booking privileges at the discretion of Amal Pilates.
- Cancellations must be made through the booking platform or in writing by email. Cancellations are not accepted through social media.
4. Pre-Payment
Payment must be made prior to booking. To reserve a spot in any class, private, or duet, you must have a valid membership, package, or single session credit in your account. Reservations are not guaranteed without pre-payment.
5. Class Restrictions and Medical Clearance
For safety reasons, Amal Pilates owners and instructors reserve the right to:
- Restrict clients to specific class levels or formats
- Recommend or require modifications during class
- Turn clients away from class if they do not have appropriate medical clearance or if participation appears unsafe
Clients agree to disclose relevant medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, or pregnancy and to update the studio if their status changes.
6. Waitlists
If your desired class is full, you may join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you may be automatically added to class before the start time and notified via email and/or text, depending on your communication preferences.
If you are added to class from the waitlist and are unable to attend, you must cancel in accordance with the cancellation policy. Late cancellations or no shows from the waitlist will incur applicable fees. Charges and deductions resulting from late cancellation or no show are not reversible.
7. Class Packages (A La Carte)
Class packages are valid for specific periods from the date of purchase or first use, as listed on the Amal Pilates pricing page and booking platform. Packages:
- Are non-refundable
- Are non-transferable
- May be extended for documented medical reasons at the studio's discretion
Extensions for medical reasons require a request before the expiry date and may require documentation from a licensed healthcare provider. Unused classes expire at the end of each package cycle and do not roll over.
8. Monthly Memberships
Monthly memberships (limited and unlimited) are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of purchase or renewal unless otherwise stated.
Monthly memberships:
- Are non-refundable
- Are non-transferable
- May be extended for documented medical reasons at the studio's discretion
- Medical extension requests must be submitted before the end of the current membership cycle
Extensions: Non-medical extension requests (for both limited and unlimited plans) may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Unlimited members may receive one complimentary pause/extension per calendar year for a duration approved by Amal Pilates. Extensions or pauses beyond the complimentary allowance may incur a fee of $10 per day.
Limited Membership Credits: Any unused limited membership credits expire at the end of the membership cycle and do not carry over into the next month.
9. Non-Transferability
Sessions, classes, and memberships are not transferable to another individual and cannot be used by another person. If a person other than the client on the booking arrives to use a class or session, they will be asked to create their own account and purchase their own sessions.
10. Booking Window
Classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, classes can typically be booked up to four (4) weeks in advance. Amal Pilates may adjust the booking window at its discretion.
11. Guest Passes
Some membership types may include guest passes. When you book a guest using your membership, one of your credits may be deducted or a designated guest credit may be used, depending on your plan. Unlimited memberships may not include guest passes unless specified. Please refer to the membership description for details.
Membership Terms and Conditions
Autopay and Billing
All monthly memberships operate on a recurring autopay schedule charged to the credit card stored securely in the booking platform (such as Mariana Tek). Membership payments will continue to process on a recurring basis until Amal Pilates is notified of a termination request in writing or the member cancels their membership through the app or website, in accordance with the Membership Termination policy.
Continuity of Membership
Memberships will continue with scheduled autopays unless Amal Pilates receives written notice to terminate the membership within the required notice period or the member cancels their membership through the app or website. Clients are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information.
Price Changes
Membership pricing may be updated periodically. Any changes will be reflected on the Amal Pilates website, and continued use of the membership after the effective date will constitute acceptance of the updated rate.
Membership Cancellation Policies
For specific membership cancellation procedures, notice periods, and conditions, refer to the Membership Termination section below.
Failed Payments
Failed membership payments may incur a fee of $10 for each day that payment fails to process after the first twenty four (24) hours. This fee may be processed as a debit on the client's booking platform account and charged with the membership payment once updated payment information is provided.
Account Hold for Non-Payment
On or after the third day of repeated payment failure, all booked classes may be canceled and the membership placed on hold. The failed membership payment, plus any associated fees, will be due and processed as a debit on the client's account and must be settled within seven (7) days or the account may be terminated.
Extensions for Memberships
For monthly memberships, including unlimited plans, extensions outside of documented medical reasons may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Unlimited members may receive one complimentary extension per year for a defined period. Additional extensions, if granted, may be subject to daily extension fees. Extensions or pauses may be requested in writing or through the member's account on the app or website.
Expiration of Unused Classes
Classes included in limited memberships that are not used by the end of the billing cycle expire and do not roll over into the next period.
Membership Extensions and Freezes
To request a membership freeze or modification, clients must submit a written request at least fourteen (14) days before the next scheduled payment date. Requests made less than fourteen days before the payment date may not prevent the upcoming payment from processing.
Memberships cannot be refunded or transferred.
Each freeze must be at least one (1) month in duration and may not exceed three (3) consecutive months, unless otherwise approved. Clients may freeze a membership up to two times per calendar year.
Exceptions for medical-related freezes may be granted at the owner's discretion upon receipt of a doctor's note or appropriate documentation.
Requests and questions regarding membership freezes can be sent to admin@amalpilates.com.
Membership Termination
Amal Pilates requires written notice of at least fourteen (14) days to one (1) billing cycle, depending on the membership plan, to terminate a membership. Requests should be emailed to hello@amalpilates.com.
- In the case of a long-term or permanent injury or illness that prevents continued use of services, immediate membership termination may be permitted. Termination will take effect from the date Amal Pilates receives written confirmation from a licensed medical professional.
- Amal Pilates may terminate a membership without prior notice for inappropriate, offensive, unsafe, or illegal behavior, as determined by the studio, that occurs on the premises, in class, or is directed toward staff or other clients. Remaining membership value may be forfeited in such cases.
- Amal Pilates may process a final membership payment on the date a late termination request is received, even if an auto payment is not scheduled for that day, when termination is requested with less than the required notice. Clients will retain access to valid membership credits for the remainder of the final paid period.
Return and Refund Policy
All sales are final. Sessions, packages, and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you are injured or medically unable to participate, Amal Pilates may extend the validity of a package or membership upon receipt of a valid medical certificate. Requests must be made before the expiration date. Extensions are not granted for reasons outside of documented medical or emergency circumstances, except at the discretion of the studio.
Special classes, community events, one-time workshops, and promotional offerings are non-refundable. Outdoor classes, if offered, may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather or factors beyond the studio's control. Missed sessions, whether due to lateness or personal scheduling conflicts, will not be reimbursed or credited.
Unused classes expire at the end of each cycle and do not roll over.
Client Safety: Prenatal and Postnatal Clients
If you are currently pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or are within the postpartum period, you must inform Amal Pilates prior to participating in any class or session. Please email hello@amalpilates.com to notify us or to ask any questions.
Certain class formats or higher intensity offerings may not be appropriate during pregnancy or postpartum recovery. Amal Pilates may:
- Recommend or require alternative class formats
- Restrict participation in specific classes
- Turn away prenatal or postnatal clients who have registered for classes that are not appropriate during this time
Your safety is a priority. Please contact the studio if you need assistance selecting a suitable class.
Client Safety: Grip Socks Required
For your safety and hygiene, grip socks are required for all classes at Amal Pilates. If you forget to bring grip socks, they may be available for purchase at the studio. Clients who do not wear grip socks may be refused participation.
Sauna Use Policy
The sauna is available to clients. Access may vary based on studio operations, and Amal Pilates may limit use at its discretion.
Clients must follow all posted guidelines and staff instructions. Sauna use involves exposure to heat and carries risks including dehydration, dizziness, fainting, and other heat-related conditions. Clients must stop use immediately if they feel unwell.
Sauna use is not recommended for individuals with certain medical conditions, including heart issues, blood pressure concerns, heat sensitivity, recent injury or surgery, or pregnancy. Clients are responsible for consulting a physician prior to use. Amal Pilates staff are not medical professionals and cannot assess individual suitability.
Clients must maintain proper hygiene, use a towel on all seating surfaces, and follow all safety expectations. Failure to comply may result in loss of sauna privileges.
Sauna access is restricted to clients eighteen (18) years of age or older.
By using the sauna, clients assume all associated risks and agree that Amal Pilates is not liable for any injury, illness, or health event arising from its use.
Instructor Substitution Policy
In the event of an instructor's absence, a qualified substitute instructor may lead the class. Substitute instructors meet Amal Pilates' standards for professionalism and expertise.
Clients will be notified of instructor changes via email, text, or the booking platform when possible.
Class types, instructors, and schedules are subject to change. Clients may reschedule or cancel a class if they prefer not to attend with a substitute instructor, subject to the standard cancellation policy.
Lost Property
Amal Pilates is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Clients are encouraged to keep valuables with them or securely stored.
Pets and Children
Pets are not permitted in the studio, with the exception of service animals as defined by applicable law. Documentation may be requested.
Children under the age of fourteen (14) are not permitted to attend group classes. Private training for minors under sixteen may be permitted with consent from a parent or legal guardian.
No Discrimination
Amal Pilates is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. The studio prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy status, or any other status protected by law.
Every client has the right to participate in classes in an inclusive and respectful setting.
No Harassment
Amal Pilates has zero tolerance for harassment of any kind, including verbal, visual, or physical conduct that is unwelcome and based on a protected characteristic, or that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.
Harassment may include, but is not limited to, slurs, negative stereotyping, threatening or hostile acts, derogatory jokes, sexually suggestive comments, unwanted advances, or inappropriate physical contact.
Client Conduct Policy
Amal Pilates prioritizes a positive, respectful environment for all clients and staff.
Any disruptive, abusive, or harassing behavior toward instructors, staff, or other clients may result in:
- Immediate removal from class
- Termination of membership or package without refund
- Restriction from future bookings
The studio reserves the right to terminate a client's membership or package without prior warning. While management may discuss a termination decision on a case-by-case basis, there is no formal appeals process. Attempts to re-enroll after termination may result in further action.
No Filming During Class Policy
To maintain a safe, focused, and private environment, clients may not film or photograph during class unless they receive prior approval from Amal Pilates. Approved filming (such as time-lapse recordings from a designated reformer that does not capture other clients) must not disrupt the class or compromise safety.
Filming or photography is strictly prohibited in all locker rooms and private changing areas.
Clients may request to take photos before or after class, provided it does not disrupt studio operations or other clients. The studio reserves the right to restrict or deny filming and photography at any time.
Studio Filming and Recording Policy
Amal Pilates may photograph, film, or otherwise record classes, sessions, or studio activities for operational, marketing, or promotional purposes. Recording may take place during classes while maintaining respect for client experience and safety.
By attending classes or entering the studio, you acknowledge that you may appear, incidentally or otherwise, in photo or video content captured within the facility. If you prefer not to appear in any promotional content, please notify the studio in writing prior to your visit so that reasonable accommodations can be made.
